COACHING CERTIFICATION

The International Coach Federation (ICF) is the largest global organization of professional coaches with over 20,000 members in 100+ countries. It is the leader in establishing both ethical standards and coaching competencies worldwide and awards the only globally recognized coaching qualification in three levels, namely:

Associate Certified Coach (ACC)
Professional Certified Coach (PCC)
Master Certified Coach (MCC)

Why obtain an ICF credential?
An ICF credential demonstrates that your coaching practice is based on Global Standards and therefore will give you the distinction and the EDGE over other professional coaches.

An ICF credential is similar to a degree or professional designation with global recognition. So with it, you can practice professional coaching anywhere else in the world.

The requirements for the individual credential applications with the ICF are:

I. Coach specific training hours
– 60 hours for ACC
– 125 hours for PCC
– 200 hours for MCC

II. Documented hours of coaching experience
– ACC – at least 100 hours, minimum 8 clients
– PCC – at least 750 hours, minimum 25 clients; or coaching log demonstrating 500 hours, minimum 25 clients with at least 50 hours 18 months prior to application for the credential
– MCC – at least 2500 hours, minimum 35 clients

III. 10 hours of Mentor Coaching with an ICF-credentialed coach

IV. Performance Evaluation for PCC & MCC

V. Passing of the Written Exam (Coach Knowledge Assessment) for ACC, PCC and MCC (unless previously passed when applying for ACC or PCC)

So during classroom sessions, you will have the benefit of practising your skills with sufficient time, plus individual guidance from the Course Leader. During the practicum, you will also be mentored one-on-one for 3-months to address your unique developmental needs that cannot be addressed by group training.

The Accelerated Coach Training Program is a 4-month course with three phases:

Phase I: 4-Day Coaching Intensives
This workshop immerses you in the science and art of coaching with focus on the ICF Core Coaching Competencies.

Phase II: Supervised 3-Month Practicum
Phase II gives you the opportunity to practice coaching with your chosen client while being supervised, coached, and mentored by a Master Certified Coach (MCC).

Phase III: 2-Day Coaching Clinic & Close-Out
